The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership has modified the 2024-2028 Local Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) four-year Plan for Local Workforce Innovation Area 7 (Chicago and Cook County). In May 2022, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and The Partnership launched The Cook County Career Connector Program. The initiative hosts hiring events across Suburban Cook County through The Partnership’s network, fostering a more inclusive economy by linking residents with quality careers and employers with skilled, diverse talent.
