About the Center

The American Job Center at Olive-Harvey College is an Affiliate AJC on Chicago’s Southside. Affiliate AJCs exist to help career seekers reach their career goals while ensuring employers have the best and most qualified prospective employees. The AJC at Olive-Harvey is managed by Dynamic Educational Systems, Inc. (DESI).

Individualized and Training Services are available for low-income career seekers and dislocated workers. Beginning with Job Readiness Workshops, career seekers are taught the skills needed to obtain employment. Career seekers are welcome to use our Resource Room featuring computers, phone, fax machine, Job Board and access to our hiring events.

For Employers, the AJC at Olive-Harvey offers services at no cost to the business. They include Pre-Screening, job matching and referrals of job-ready candidates, targeted company-specific hiring/recruitment events and career fairs. Business Service Representatives assist with hiring and retention challenges and more.
