Washington Heights Workforce Center
About the Center
The Washington Heights Workforce Center (WHWC) on Chicago’s Southside exists to help Job Seekers reach their employment goals while ensuring Employers of the best and most qualified prospective employees. WHWC is managed by Dynamic Educational Systems, Inc. (DESI). Our Workforce Services Division is responsible for administering Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) funded programs for local and regional governments and communities. In Chicago, we work alongside the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership to provide a variety of free services and resources to Job Seekers and Employers. For Job Seekers, our Basic Services are open to all. Individualized and Training Services are available for low-income individuals and dislocated workers. Beginning with Job Readiness Workshops, we conduct training to provide customers with the skills needed to obtain employment. Customers are welcome to use our Resource Room featuring computers, phone, fax machine, Job Board and access to our hiring events. For Employers, WHWC offers services at no cost to your business. They include Pre-Screening, job matching and referrals of job-ready candidates for your positions, targeted company specific hiring/recruitment events and career fairs, Business Service Representatives to assist with your hiring and retention challenges and more. If you would like us to come and conduct a presentation for your team or customers please contact us at (773) 928-5272.
