For nearly 50 years, Bethel Family Resource Center has been dedicated to providing opportunities to low-income persons in our community and has a remarkable history, grounded in faith-based values and reflecting our capacity to evolve in response to the changing needs of job seekers and employers. To that end, BFRC provides job search, skills assessment, access to training programs, employment services, placement assistance, and other activities to assist job seekers and employers. As a one-stop community service center, we also provide emergency shelter for homeless persons, emergency assistance with overdue utilities and rent as well as heath care services via a medical clinic and pharmacy housed in our building. Also, in addition to WIOA Program for Out- of School Youth, we provide construction-related education, occupational skills training, and job placement opportunities for 16-24 year olds from neighborhoods in Chicago Heights with high poverty rates and youth unemployment through our DOL funded YouthBuild Program.
