BUILDING THE ROAD HOME FOR RETURNING RESIDENTS
The Road Home serves Chicago and suburban Cook County, addressing the holistic needs of those returning ‘home’ from Illinois’ penal institutions. Eligible participants enroll in this comprehensive reentry program beginning pre-release, working to eliminate the barriers to ‘coming home’ successfully. In addition, due to Cook County’s investment of ARPA funds, the program has expanded and now serves those who are already ‘home’ and facing barriers to employment.
HOW DO I GET ON THE ROAD HOME?
Justice partners, Cook County, and the Illinois Department of Corrections identify eligible candidates who are one to six months from their release dates. They connect these returning residents with The Partnership’s Reentry Navigators.
Eligible returning residents must be:
18 years old or older • A U.S. citizen or able to work in the U.S.
