Chicago Tribune Spotlights Clean Energy Workforce Hubs Empowering Chicago Communities
We’re proud to be featured by the Chicago Tribune, highlighting the important workforce development work made possible through Illinois’ Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA).
As an operator of two of the 13 Clean Jobs Workforce Hubs across Illinois, The Partnership is pivotal in preparing residents for careers in the growing green economy. Located on Chicago’s South and West Sides, these Hubs serve as community anchors, offering job readiness training emphasizing technical and soft skills. Participants are introduced to clean energy career pathways, such as solar installation and HVAC, with additional support like stipends, transportation, and housing assistance to help them succeed.
The success stories are already sprouting. Program participants are securing positions with innovative companies like Rivian.
