Northwestern Medicine Expands Support for The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership’s Healthcare Sector Workforce Initiatives
CHICAGO – The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership (The Partnership) has received an additional $50,000 grant from Northwestern Medicine, bringing total support to $100,000 for workforce development programs in the healthcare sector across Chicago and suburban Cook County.
Northwestern Medicine, recently named 2025 Employer of the Year by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals, has partnered with The Partnership to connect 60 career seekers to roles such as Patient Access Specialist and Pharmacy Technician. This collaboration is supported by The Partnership’s Healthcare Sector Center, operated by Equus Workforce Solutions.
“Our network serves about 10,000 career seekers annually, and more than 80% secure quality employment,” said George Wright, CEO of The Partnership. “Last year alone, those placements generated over $152 million in wages.”
“Our collaboration with The Partnership strengthens the local workforce and helps us fulfill our commitment to the communities we serve,” said Ann Hall, Vice President at Northwestern Medicine. “This grant will expand training opportunities and create pathways for future healthcare professionals, ensuring quality care for generations to come.”
