Youth Guidance creates and implements school-based programs that enable children to overcome obstacles, focus on their education and, ultimately, to succeed in school and in life. Youth Guidance is a leading provider of outcomes-driven programs and capacity-building initiatives, directly serving about 11,000 youth while touching the lives of hundreds more parents, schools and local communities. Youth Guidance’s Workforce development programs ensure that youth from under-resourced communities are empowered with the life skills and resources necessary for to connect to a meaningful postsecondary opportunity of their choice. Youth Guidance offers workforce development programming to 16-24 year old in- and out-of-school youth and services include: career counseling, job readiness training, case management, and employment connections. Youth Guidance maintains partnerships with over 40 Chicagoland employers from various sectors as well as workforce training and college access and success programs. By participating in our programs, youth experience decreased barriers to success in the workforce and increased confidence in their professional identity and career goals.
